The North Dakota Association of Builders, Bismarck, N.D., named Tyrone Leslie, Heritage Homes, as the recipient of its 2008 Builder of the Year award at its Annual Meeting last month in Fargo. Leslie received the local 2008 Builder of the Year award from Home Builders Association of Fargo-Moorhead earlier this fall. Leslie was a local Builder of the Year award nominee in 2006 and 2007, and has been a director on the HBA board for one
year. He was chair of the Public Issues Committee and PAC Committee and serves on the Home Builders Care Foundation board. Next year, Leslie will serve as treasurer on the HBA board of directors’ executive committee. He has been a key supporter of the HBA’s fundraising for the North Dakota Association of Builders political action committee and NationalAssociation of Home Builders political action committee. He is a PAC trustee.
His civic activities include membership in Olivet Lutheran Church and the Fargo Rotary Club. Heritage Homes was involved in ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition that happened in Minot in 2006 and in New Orleans this year. The company also renovated a facility serving children and adults with emotional and developmental disabilities for Access of the Red River Valley, and is working on another build for Access with a 2009 completion date.
NDAB is made up of five local associations across the state having 2,200 members, and is affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders. The NAHB is a building trade association with over 235,000 members and more than 800
