2009 Parade of Homes Horizon Award Winners named

FARGO, N.D. - The Home Builders Association of Fargo-Moorhead has named the 2009 Parade of Homes Best of Show Horizon Award Winners. Showcasing 46 builders and 70 homes, seven Best of Show winners were presented with awards at the thirteenth annual Horizon Awards Banquet on May 19. The 2009 winners are:

HBA associate and builder members, local Realtor members, architects and consumers judged the homes.

Criteria used in judging were: exterior - balance and proportion, quality and appropriate use of materials, outdoor planning, detailing, workmanship; location and site planning - curb appeal, value and design compared to other homes in the neighborhood; and interior - main entrance, livability, function, kitchen, family area, bathrooms, bedrooms, master suite, special design features and workmanship.
