Day 3 : MARCH 8

Day 2 of the Build

Last updated 5/16/2008, 10:44 AM

Today, our crew attended a pep rally downtown New Orleans at a church with all other builders, including all cast and crew of the show.   A total of 8 national builders and 10 builder assistant teams from New Orleans are involved and the builder group is now being referred to as “The Band of Brothers”.

Heritage Homes was the only builder of all national builders chosen, to have a partnership of two people to speak during this event! What a great honor for us!!

During the rally, Heritage Homes was called out several times as a build that the cast and crew really loved and we had an opportunity to meet with the talent, discuss or Minot build and plan this new one.  Over 300 people attended the rally today!

It rained, HARD last night and half of today.  The entire area is mud pile, but everything is going as planned and is on schedule….just a bit messy. J The temperature in New Orleans tonight is expected to be 32 degrees…the first time it has been cold here in March in over 7 years! Some are saying we brought the cold with us.

The old church was demolished and piles begin for new church site and the home is cleaned out and readied for demolition. We had our first afternoon builder meeting today where it was officially announced that Heritage Homes is one of the lead builders on the home.

The staging area was completed today, the home cleaned out and the brave heart scene is set for tomorrow as is the demolition and start of construction of the home.   Ty, Page, Paul, Eduardo, Mike, Tracy and Ed were all on site today and we had one-on-one time to discuss the ND build and the build here. Page said the Pirate room in Minot is officially her most favorite of all time! J
