In our Castlewood, we liked the open feel of the kitchen and living room and thought that they flowed together nicely. We also enjoyed the fact that we would have plenty of space on one level, including our own customizations, without feeling the rush to finish the basement.
The thing we love the most about our house is that every little detail in the house was something that we thought about, researched and analyzed so that it would be just right for our needs. Our goal was to get the “foundation” right and we did that. Although we enjoy all aspects of the house, we are particularly fond of the master bathroom — by borrowing some space normally allocated for the laundry room, we were able to install a Jacuzzi bathtub with an arch enclosure while still retaining a walk-in shower (that will be tiled in the future). We also added drywall shelves and a super-quiet fan to complete what we were looking for.
We would certainly recommend Heritage Homes to anyone looking to build a home. From the beginning, they were upfront and honest with any questions we had (or didn’t have) and that helped with the process. Our experience centered upon Michele Evert, who we would recommend to anyone looking to build or sell a home. Michele was always there to answer questions we had, pose questions about our decisions if she noticed an issue that we didn’t, and seek out the appropriate vendor or tradesman to get the answers we were looking for. In fact, Michele met with us to answer questions mere hours before she was to fly to Florida for her vacation. Michele certainly went the extra-mile and the end result showed.
